A light-filled sanctuary
If you're looking for a great spa experience, if you need to release some stress, or if you’re just looking to get fit and healthy, then you've come to the right place. The Willow Stream spa is an oasis of calm and tranquility offering superb views on the gardens, lake and alps beyond.
I treated myself to a deep tissue massage during my visit and was not in the least disappointed. My therapist took time to find out about any health issues I might have and ensured that everything was perfect, from the music to the choice of massage oils. She expertly targeted areas of my body that were rife with tension, soothing my stiff muscles and lulling me into total relaxation.
What is really striking about this beautiful spa is the amount of natural light it benefits from. So many spas are decorated using dark colour tones and materials; here it’s all about light, soft beige and taupe tones. From the large, well-equipped gym that has direct views on the gardens and lake, to the waiting area for the treatment rooms, the spaces are flooded with natural light. This is one thing I particularly appreciated as I feel that light and airy spaces really uplift my mood and energize me.
I would really recommend spending half-a-day minimum in the spa to really be able to indulge in all it has to offer. Don’t forget to check-out (or just quietly nap) in the beautiful relaxation room, where you can catch up on the latest news or just gaze out the window and day-dream a little.
Just to reel off a few statistics on what it has to offer: a 2000m2 space dedicated to getting fit and healthy; a wonderful 25m indoor lap pool with a large adjacent hot-tub; 10 treatment rooms; separate ladies and men's facilities complete with a whirlpool, a cold tub, a steam room and sauna for those wanting some extra privacy and a café. It offers a wide-range of treatments, including a selection of aromatherapy treatments. During the summer months, the spa has direct access to the expansive garden with a beautiful green lawn that unfurls down to the lakeside promenade. It offers plenty of lawn chairs and sofas to loll around in. There is also a lovely outdoor pool.

Massages and facials start at Chf 159.- for a 60-minute treatment. A number of packages are also on offer, including a bachelorette party package, which looks like fun! For those of you lucky enough to be living in the Montreux area, it is possible to become a member of the spa; this gives you full access to the gym, pool and other facilities, as well as a number of other advantages.
