SWISS SPAS
Le Spa, Kempinski Geneva
I was kindly invited by the Kempinski to discover their beautiful spa on a very grey November day. It was a perfect escape: everything in this spa will quickly make you forget how depressing Geneva can be at this time of the year. The spa is very warm and spacious and as I stepped into the spa zone, I was immediately reminded of the Danish concept of Hygge, the atmosphere here is all about coziness, warmth and well-being.
Bain Bleu Hammam & Spa, Geneva
“You cannot change the world, but you can change scenery” - such is the Bain Bleu’s motto. Opened in 2015, this urban Turkish-style bathhouse is a unique concept in Geneva. Located just a stone’s throw from the city centre, along the shores of Lake Geneva, it offers 3000 m2 of stylish facilities dedicated to relaxation and rejuvenation.
A heavenly escape...
Does the presence of an object render space more empty? This may be a strange introduction to a spa review, but this is how some interpret the large acrylic cube by the sculptor Anish Kapoor that sits inconspicuously in the reception area of The Dolder Spa. The piece is called Space as an Object. For me space would be one of the many words that would describe this beautiful spa.
A classy and elegant destination spa
This is definitely a destination spa where guests can check in for a few days or more to enjoy all the amazing facilities and treatments it has on offer. This spa is simply huge with facilities spreading across 5500m2; these include a sauna complex, steam baths, a number of relaxation areas, massage options, beauty treatments, a gym and the standout feature has to be the pool area.
A light-filled sanctuary
If you're looking for a great spa experience, if you need to release some stress, or if you’re just looking to get fit and healthy, then you've come to the right place. The Willow Stream spa at the Montreux Palace is an oasis of calm and tranquility offering superb views on the gardens, lake and alps beyond.
