My name is Catherine, I love travelling and I enjoy beautiful things, be it a moonlit landscape or a five-star hotel!  I was born and raised in Switzerland, near Geneva, by Swiss-American parents.
This blog is intended as a gateway for the discerning traveller to Switzerland. It is an essential guide to some of the finer hotels and is meant to help you discover this beautiful country and all it has to offer, whilst relaxing in some of the best Swiss accommodation.
I share my impressions of some of the country's best hotels and ideas for exploring Switzerland a little further. I personally have visited all the places listed. Unless mentioned, I have stayed in all the establishments listed on this blog. Whenever I am hosted by a hotel, there will always be full disclosure and this will not influence my view. I particularly appreciate good, friendly service, stylish decor and five-star comfort.
I am also a keen amateur photographer and all the photos on this blog are my own unless otherwise stated. Please contact me directly for permission to use any photos.

Reflections on a year of travel blogging: an honest account
Like many bloggers, I came to blogging a little naively, thinking that it would be a fun little project. I stumbled into it after meeting a number of very successful bloggers. I thought it would be a great opportunity to combine my interest in photography and showcase my home country, Switzerland. In this post I look back at the past year and share some honest truths about blogging.
